LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) — Louisville coach Scott Satterfield says quarterback Malik Cunningham’s status is being evaluated daily for concussion-like symptoms after he was injured during Saturday’s loss at Boston College. The fifth-year senior ran for three touchdowns and threw for another before finishing the game, a 34-33 defeat, on the sideline. He was removed for one play in the third quarter after taking a hit to the head from BC defensive back Jaylen Blackwell, who was penalized for targeting. Cunningham played two more series before being replaced by Brock Domann. Satterfield said Tuesday that Cunningham told team doctors that he “felt a little different” after taking another hit later and was pulled from the game.

UNDATED (AP) — This was reset week for Associated Press college football poll voters. A season-high 10 teams that entered the weekend ranked in the AP Top 25 lost. That included five ranked teams losing to unranked opponents. The fallout was more than a quarter of the poll turning over Sunday. The voters tossed out seven teams, five of which had been ranked all season, including Oklahoma, Texas A&M and Baylor. Among the seven new arrivals, six made their season debut. Kansas was the headliner. The Jayhawks had not been ranked in 13 years, the longest drought among Power Five conference teams.

CLEMSON, S.C. (AP) — Clemson quarterback DJ Uiagalelei had a stellar start to the season and may have quieted doubters who wanted someone else behind center when the year began. Uiagalelei is among the Atlantic Coast Conference’s top passers and already has more touchdown throws this season than all of last year. Uiagalelei had never lost belief in himself despite a subpar season in 2021 when the Tigers’ streak of six straight ACC titles and College Football Playoff trips ended. An improved Uiagalelei has the fifth-ranked Tigers at 5-0 and in control of the ACC’s Atlantic Division.
